Weekly News

I’m free! Woo-hoo! Another school year in the books.

Ahh…

I’ve been preemptively celebrating for a couple of weeks now. So… I’ll return to talking about news now. Just one final word that sums up everything: SUMMERTIME! Giggle.

First up, you can take the middle school out of the teacher for the summer, but you can’t totally remove the middle-schooler that lives deep inside her. A poop-powered bus. Snort.

All their promises about the future are finally coming to pass. Back to the Future was so right. Hoverboards, people. Hoverboards!

And in science news–although let’s be honest, these were all rooted in science. Science teacher going into summer and all–it’s cloudy with a chance of…spiders. For those of you afraid of arachnids, stop reading now. Still with me? Okay, but I warned you.

Imagine if your local meteorologist began predicting this?

That’ll do it for me tonight. Enjoy your Wednesday evening–I know I will. 🙂

  1. I’ll take a look at the links. I have one more week to go. I can’t wait.

A lot to celebration indeed… enjoy. Oh the spiders are totally scary…

OK, the poop bus was awesome and very impressive! The hoverboard looks amazing, but strikes the old lady in me as a good way to get hurt. But flying spiders – spiders that stick their butts in the air, unreel silk, and take off? That’s SO COOL! I like spiders as long as they’re not poisonous. They eat insects, and I hate insects. So if a million or so want to fly over here, that’s okay with me! 🙂

The bus and the hoverboard also were enjoyable for me, but I agree that the spider story is AMAZING. Can you imagine? I actually thought of you when I read it. It seems like something that belongs in one of your horror stories. Or at least some part of it.

  4. I read about the spiders. That would be so freaky.
The real question isn’t how fast can the bus go but how far. And whether you need to take along a spare cow.
    Enjoy your summer break!

Thanks! I hadn’t thought about distance or refueling en route. An extra cow would be a hoot to have on board. Now I’m picturing one of those packed buses with a variety of farm animals on board–oh, the smell would be just terrible. 😉
