I am a forty-something-year-old writer (cough, cough). I’m writing the proposal for my fourth book right now while trying to find a home for the others. I’ve also written short stories, poems, and some nonfiction over the last several years. My interest in writing formed during countless hours with my nose tucked in books. I may have even been clutching a novel as I was born–my poor mother. 🙂
My interest in genres is pretty varied, and I’m open to both adult and YA. I’ll just as easily pick up a fantasy novel as I will literary fiction, contemporary fiction, crime fiction, or nonfiction. If you have any suggestions for good books, feel free to post them. I’m always on the look out for a great story.
I’m a big fan of Life After Life by Kate Atkinson (although any of her books are worth a read). It has an interesting structure and a great overall story.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Winter’s Bone by Daniel Woodrell. Can’t say enough about it. Brave, tough, narrator in the haunting tale of a young girl trying to save her family.
I’ll have to check it out. Thanks!
I like your page! Suggestions for good books. Well, I hope you’ll check out my first book just recently published A Bell Sound Everlasting. Please let me know if you like it if you decide to read it! Other than that I’m looking forward to reading “Landline” by Rainbow Rowell, I hear it’s good.
I’ll have to check them out. Thanks!
