Weekly News

Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike…what day is it? IT’S WEDNESDAY! You thought I was going to say something else, didn’t you? Nah, not me.

I’m back. I’ve been scouring the virtual news buffet, and I have a trio of stories to satisfy your craving. Step on up and dig in.

If a bear wanders into your high school, do you get a bear day? It’s like a snow day, but instead of avoiding cold white powder, you’re avoiding getting eaten.

Take that burglar. Women can knock you out with modern combat or medieval skills. Don’t mess with us!

On the science front, a winning photo of pollen on a bee’s eye. Stunning and simultaneously important.

That’ll do it for another week. What do you say we do it again next week? 😉

How very cool about the bear… I mean scary too, but would have been the talk of the school for a while:)

Maybe the bear just wanted an education? Did anyone consider that? No! Poor bear… I belonged to the SCA, too, but never had to fight off a burglar. I’m pretty pissed they charged him with “unlawful entry.” WTH is that? He was obviously there to steal something and perhaps even worse! He should get charged with B&E, burglary, trespassing and menacing and get locked up for 5 years at least. Two things scare me about the last post: that there’s an actual name “photomicrographer” and that the photo took 4 hrs to set up so was obviously eye sans bee!! Eww!!

Definitely after an education. He wants to know more about the birds and the bees…and the honey. 🙂 Throw the book at him, or maybe they could just let her have one more crack at him. I don’t even want to think about how they got the picture.

  3. That camel gets a lot of mileage out of that joke.
Bears seem to be invading everywhere right now. Looking for food and a place to sleep.
