Weekly News

Hello all! The middle of the week has rocketed back into existence and is just as quickly disappearing from underneath me. All the while disturbing the unstable piles of stuff I’m trying to get done. Hmph…

I guess if time has to rocket toward anything, the weekend is a good endpoint. Not the end you say? Shh… Let me pretend.

This first story shows me that if that tiny truck can make it, so can I. I’m hearing: I think I can… I think I can…

Um… okay. Too much free time. Maybe one of them can help me with my piles.

We might have another planet. I could say something witty or sarcastic regarding our old ninth planet–poor, Pluto– but my first sentence stands on its own. A new planet! I heart science.

That’ll do it for buried lil old me. Think of me if you’re doing something fun. I’ll be shoveling through my to-do list the next couple of weeks.

I’m really amazed that truck made it up that dune. I was sure he wouldn’t! LOL! Frozen. Jeans. Minneapolis. Um … “Let it Go!” If the article calls Pluto “the dwarf world” – how is it not a planet? I just don’t get that whole thing… I hope you’re all better from your stomach ailment now. 🙂

Both the truck and the jeans amazed me, truthfully. I followed the reason for Pluto’s demotion back when it was happening, and it really had more to do with creating an adequate definition of what a planet is because of so many new discoveries. Up until that point, there truly wasn’t a good accepted set of parameters. Thanks for the good wishes. I’m better, but confused as to whether it was food poisoning or a bug. It came on furiously like food poisoning, but we could never pinpoint a specific possible culprit. So… maybe it was a very angry stomach bug. *shrug*

Ooh, a new planet! I didn’t even know. I wish you luck with your to-do list!

  4. I love the story about the new planet, although it does make you wonder where it came from. Perhaps it’s been pulled from another dimension?

  5. The truck made it! Wonder how fast he was going when he hit that big dune? I’d be more worried about flipping over.
