Welcome back one and all. I imagined a big sweeping arm movement as I typed that last sentence. It was imagery that brought a smile to my face. Can you tell that this week has definitely been an improvement over last week?
The first news story up this week is so cool. Birds sleeping in flight. I’m jealous of the flight and of the naps.

That little guy really looks like a toy. I’d think it was staged if it were any other source.
Eat more chocolate. Science says so. 🙂

That’s for me tonight. See you back here in seven.
I wish I could sleep like that.
That little squid was so cute!! I’m going to name him Squishy.
I wish I could sleep like that, too. Could you imagine still getting something done while napping?
Squishy is a great name–Dori would be so proud. 🙂
Hi,
I really like the first picture. He really does look like he’s taking a little nap.
Shalom aleichem,
Pat
I agree, Pat. He also looks like he’s enjoying his siesta.
They were right – it did look like a child’s toy. Too bad the little squid never moved.
I know, right? Even a blink of some sort would have make people go wild.
I don’t know what’s more shocking – that the birds fly for 2 months straight, that they can’t float in water, or that they sleep with half their brain! :O I know that squids and octopi have large eyes, but that purple one’s do indeed look like they’re painted on. Eat chocolate. Finally, health advice I can get behind. Have a good week, Kim!
Those birds are most definitely in a category all their own. The eyes and the barrenness of his surroundings all make the encounter surreal. I meant it when I said that if it weren’t for NPR being the source, I’d totally think it was fake. I had some chocolate last night. Just following medical advice. 🙂
I had a good week. Enjoy your weekend, Lex!
