Weekly News

Welcome back one and all! It is Wednesday once again, all of a sudden in my corner of the world. I hope the week is treating you well. If not, the news can be your treat. If it is, a cherry on top.

It was nap time, and people had the nerve to disturb his nap. Geez.

The guy became his own lending library. I think the library felt it was a legit reason to return the book late, especially given the “unexpected journey” aspect of it.

Using angular momentum to encode more information in beams of traveling light is brilliant. I can’t even come close to understanding the totality of the how, but it fascinates me regardless. Science!

That will do it for me tonight. Seven more earthly rotations before I see you again. I can’t wait! 🙂

  1. Huh. I thought I commented on this last week, but maybe I didn’t? Or maybe I clicked away before the comment seeded.

I want a nap. =) Will someone come freeze time so I can take one? 😉

LOL I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sea lion on top of a car before.

  3. Crazy seal.
Funny that everyone wanted to read The Hobbit and the book traveled around the world.

  4. That sea lion has a great attitude! Glad the library didn’t charge him. And, no, the light thing is far too sciency for me.

I’ve seen sea lions and seals sprawled over piers, rafts, and boats, but never cars! Funny! I’d never guess all those military boys would like The Hobbit. Next you’ll tell me they’re all secret D&D players. The light thing just confused me. Is it possible to get dumber as I gets older?
