Weekly News

Sorry this is a day late. I had conferences the past two nights. Last night I just couldn’t. Tired brain and writing is as likely to be funny as incoherent. I chose instead to be an incoherent, semi-conscious vegetable for my whole hour between work and bed. It is a decision I stand by. 😉

First up is a heart-warming trick to get people to donate to this animal rescue organization. I’m all for pulling at heartstrings to get people to take care of animals.

Major props to Officer Chris Womack. Police officers do so much that goes unnoticed, glad this rookie is getting some attention for a very brave act.

Last up, who knew that oceans contained some of the most beneficial lawns imaginable. This is the first year I’m teaching about ecosystems, and I think this is definitely worth a mention.

That’ll do it for me this *cough* afternoon. See you in six.

My interest in writing formed during countless hours with my nose tucked in books. I may have even been clutching a novel as I was born. :)

It sounds like Pearl and the UPS man make each others’ day.

  2. That was really smart to push the truck away from the building. Yeah, that could’ve burned the whole place down.
Sea grass with benefits – after all my hours of research on sea kelp, I’d say yes.

In love with a goat? I’ve been wondering when animals would be added to the GLBT list… You’re right about cops. They’re good people and are misjudged because the media only reports on the few bad apples. But I have to wonder, was the officer a regular patron and saved the store to keep his nosh in business? I’m glad to hear seagrasses are good ecologically, but I sure don’t like to walk through them. Icky! Like sea monster fingers wrapping around your legs! Have a great Friday, Kim!
