Welcome back to all my warm friends out there as well as my snow-bound ones. I finished a run earlier in 73 degree weather. Don’t be jealous if you’re getting pummeled by snow. I live in Colorado, which means that I could be buried under feet of snow any day between now and the end of April. Until then, I enjoy. 🙂 Time for some news.
This first story has the highest cute factor I’ve seen for a while. It may be over-shared online, but I just couldn’t leave it be. He’s. So. Cute.
This house looked weird when I first saw the picture, but then I saw the inside. I don’t know if I could get over feeling like I was living in a fairy tale, but it is interesting.
Last up in science, they found grandpa.

That’s all for tonight. If you’re reading this wrapped up in blankets, grab a cocoa. If you’re toasty warm like we are at the moment, enjoy. See you in seven.
It’s 73 here too, but the forecast says it will vary from 65-75 over the next few weeks. As long as it’s below 80, I can stand it. (By June it’ll be 90 though). Aww. That cute little goldfish needs a name…like Speedy. (Hee-hee! I’m so bad.) I’d enjoy living *next* to a giant cowboy boot, but the house is too small for me. I know nothing about ancient skulls other than “hominin” reminds me of “homonym.” 😉
We’ve stayed up there all week, with the occasional blustery day. We do get quite a bit of wind at times. I’m with you on staying under 80, but that doesn’t keep me from rooting for summer because I’m off. I can’t wait to get sustained time to write.
Speedy is a good name. 😉
I know little about paleoanthropology, but I find it fascinating.I hope you had a great weekend, Lex!
I hadn’t seen the goldfish – what a great solution. Not sure how I feel about the boot – loved the line about Mother Goose though. All archaeology interests me – it’s amazing that we know so much about our ancestors!
It was a pretty cool solution for that little guy. I like the idea of the boot more than I imagine I would like living there. I agree about studying our ancestors; it’s amazing what we can learn.
That little wheelchair for the goldfish is adorable.
I know, right?
Well we don’t want our goldfish floating funny.
That house is really unique. Thought the bathroom was really cool. I wouldn’t want to live in it though.
He is so cute, though. The meme value alone is worth taking such an obviously weird engineering step. 😉
I wouldn’t want to live in the house either, but it is cool.
