Hello all! It is the second Wednesday in June, and I’m currently basking in my summer break. I hope this post finds you enjoying some aspect of summer as well. There’s very little to dislike about this season. Seriously. Time for some news.
I love the idea of getting to learn more about the stratosphere and use the stratollites to monitor for natural disasters, but why does it take marketing interests to fund something like this? Is KFC really in charge of pushing our knowledge now?
Hazmat crews! *Giggle* Never mind–it’s just poop. *Snort* I am just too much of a child to not love this story.
And rounding out my trifecta of summer-worthy stories, your mother was so right about eating your broccoli. Turns out that it may be the key to stopping Type 2 diabetes. Kudos to doctoral student Annika Axelsson and her colleagues.

That’s all folks. 🙂 See you back here in seven.
Broccoli to battle diabetes? And why not.
It is pretty logical.
I love the geese pooping story. That reminds me of when Fabian broke his nose because he ran into a goose while riding Apollo’s Chariot at Busch Gardens. Sadly, the poor goose didn’t make it.
I feel for both the goose and Fabian in your story.
I like broccoli.
A KFC sandwich in space? Go figure.
Keep eating it.
The KFC story still throws me.
