IWSG and Weekly News

InsecureWritersSupportGroup2

It’s that time of the month again. 🙂 Come join in–some of us may even share our chocolate. Our incredible co-hosts for this month’s posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG) are Beverly Stowe McClure, Erika Beebe, and Lisa Buie-Collard!

March 6 question – Whose perspective do you like to write from best, the hero (protagonist) or the villain (antagonist)? And why?

I tend to write from the protagonist’s POV. It’s not for any particular reason other than I tend to imagine the protagonist in the early stages of building out my idea for the book. With the protagonist coming to life as the story takes shape,  his/her perspective becomes my natural in on the story.

Next up, news. But first a song. It sums up how I’m feeling this week.

This is a savage post by the fire department, but justifiably so. Don’t block hydrants, folks. Not only is it not worth it, but you may just suffer the same fate as the car owner in this story.

In science tonight, a fascinating link between chronic noise and Alzheimer’s. This could be a significant piece of research going forward. Science is fantastic!

That’s all for me tonight. See you back here in seven

About kimlajevardi

I am a forty-something-year-old writer. I'm currently drafting my second book. I've also written short stories, poems, and some non-fiction over the last several years. My interest in writing formed during countless hours with my nose tucked in books. I may have even been clutching a novel as I was born. :)

  1. What’s wrong with people that they’d protest what the fire department did? What if that had been their house? Would they have wanted to wait for someone to tow the car while their house burned?

  2. I only write from the protagonist’s viewpoint.
The owner of that car got what he deserved. Shame on people for slamming the fire department. That hose when filled is like a steel pipe. It had to go through the car.
Hope next week is better for you!
