Happy Hump Day! Tis Wednesday once again. Why the archaic language? Dunno. Just like I sometimes go down language rabbit holes, I’ve been known to occasionally affect an accent, even an archaic one. Random, I know. Tis what it tis, though.

Apparently, Florida now has zombies. The TV and movies never warned us about the fact they can only be contained by working electricity. They also never told us that our government knows where they are and has warnings set to release should their containment go awray. Guess what happens when there’s a power outage and the government loses their grip? WARNING: THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING.

Hello all! Wednesday is here once again, and it’s a gorgeous Wednesday in my opinion. A summer-break-has-begun-Wednesday, which is the best kind of Wednesday of all. I am free. Yippee!

This first story is a first of its own. It’s sad to see this/these stillborn fawns, but it’s fascinating to see conjoined twins in another species. I was surprised to hear they have never been known to be born alive. Even before modern separation surgeries, human conjoined twins could survive and live out their lives, not frequently, but there are cases where that happened.

The question today is – When your writing life is a bit cloudy or filled with rain, what do you do to dig down and keep on writing? 

For me the methods to dig deep depend upon why I’m stuck. As with where I am now, in the early building stages of a WIP, butt in chair is my main coping device. Sit, even if I only accomplish 100 words. Sit, even if I only add more to my research. Sit, even if I only manage to figure out a character or plot point. Just sit and point face at screen. Time matters.

The trick changes during second, third, fourth, fifth, etc … drafts. Then, it helps to chunk write. Do a burst, then read. Do a burst, then eat lunch. Do a burst, then go for a run. Work, think, repeat.
