IWSG and Monthly News

It is time again for the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG). If you haven’t checked it out yet, click on the image above and get to it.The awesome co-hosts for the April 5 posting of the IWSG are Jemima PettNancy Gideon, and Natalie Aguirre!

The optional questions this month are – Do you remember writing your first book? What were your thoughts about a career path on writing? Where are you now and how is it working out for you? If you’re at the start of the journey, what are your goals?

When I started writing my first book in 2013, I had zero clue where I was going. After dabbling with short stories and poems, I was struck by the idea that became my first book. I stumbled through learning how to write three first person POVs, and in that process I became hooked. Since then, I have completed three books, began the plan for the proposal of the second book in my fantasy series, and a shiny new idea has recently poked its head up. I’m not as far into my journey as I’d like to be, but I am no longer at the beginning. Always onward!

And now, time for some news.

My first story tonight has one thing after another. Many criminals make strange decisions that get them caught, but this guy seems to have gone way beyond strange.

Weekly News

Welcome back for another Wednesday. It’s mild in my neck of the woods, but we’re staring down the mid 60s this weekend. Spring has sprung. I know I ramble on about weather a lot, but man oh man, I love certain seasons. Time to enjoy some news as much as I’m digging the weather.

When I read the headline for my first story tonight, I was completely baffled about the reasoning behind making wooly mammoth meatballs. After reading the story, though, I get it. It’s a brave new world, folks.

IWSG and Weekly News

Welcome to another monthly posting for the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG). We post the first Wednesday of the month. If you want to participate, click the link above and get started. The awesome co-hosts for the March 1 posting of the IWSG are Diedre Knight,Tonya Drecker,Bish Denham,Olga Godim, and JQ Rose!

March 1 question – Have you ever read a line in novel or a clever plot twist that caused you to have author envy?

All the time! But even more important than envy, I take inspiration from what I read. I am a reader at heart, and books inspire every scene that I write. I hope I can similarly inspire someone someday. Now, time for some news.

This first story had me at the title.
